A Question.

A voice said, Look me in the stars
And tell me truly, men of earth,
If all the soul-and-body scars
Were not too much to pay for birth.

So one of the characters is named Alexia. And the main character is Jamie. Dear god. It’s genderbent Alex and Jay. This is a genderbent Marble Hornets fanfiction

EXCUSE ME WHILE I PISS MYSELF

hnnnnnnng :|

That is all.

captain-innit:

I think this is something that should be noted every time there’s a MH update, because there are always complaints that are very ARG-specific about said update when at it’s core MH isn’t an ARG

“Yeah, but the battery’s almost dead…”

Thought I should repost this dapper fellow with an explanation.

Alright, so. I tend to like to stick to canon at heart while still being somewhat inventive, what little canon there may be (Rake, cough cough). I recently discovered the term “Surgist,” which seems trivial and silly, but I guess it describes most of how I feel about the Slender Man Mythos these days. I’ve long been a lurker, and it was only last year that I started becoming more acquainted with other fandom members. However, it’s become very muddled these days, and I tend to gravitate towards the original works, those being the original SomethingAwful thread entries by Surge and the other contributors, Marble Hornets, those things.

With the exception of the ambiguity that is Marble Hornets, I cannot bear the idea of “proxies” and him stalking nothing but bored college-age young adults with an obsession with toting video cameras around. Marble Hornets is the exception to me because it was the first of the ‘Mythos Chaotic Fictions- sort of the Romeo and Juliet to the others’ West Side Stories, so to speak. Now, we have a slew of other masked men, knife-wielding fanatics, zealots with a penchant for video-editing, and even other creepypastas and such entities getting in on the action.

Frankly, I’d rather keep it a bit more simple for myself. What you see is a depiction of my idea of what some might see when looking at him. To me, he has a face when looked at by just anyone, and only appears as our familiar faceless friend when caught on film. Each person might see him slightly differently, even appearing as someone they know, such as an uncle, a teacher, a father. He also hasn’t much of a desire to spend his time stalking college kids with their video cameras, but rather his original “prey,” children.

However, in my interpretation, this strange man-in-black, with all his mystique, does not exactly have it out for the poor kids. Rather, he would steal them away to some strange, misty forest and then who knows where else to, what he would feel is sparing their innocence from the corruption they would face in adulthood. Of course, that’s not to say he is entirely benevolent. Often when one deals in the stealing of children, one runs into pesky law enforcement, social workers, daycare workers, babysitters, PARENTS, you know. All corrupted, all taken care of without much thought to the contrary. It’s what must be done.

I could go on, though I haven’t worked out all my headcanon, yet, what with origins in some dark forest in modern-day Germany or government involvement, etc. ;D

Thought he was worth a reblog.

Sounds like it’s time to reblog this shit again.

For kicks, you know.

I don’t hate Hoods but him, stealing the pills, was a total dick move.

A dick move with a purpose.

My interpretation of our slender friend.

So, we’ll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he’s not our hero. He’s a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight.

I have no idea who you are but I might just love you a little.

Remember when this was the most awesome thing since sliced bread?

Aaaah, the good old days.

Huh. Well then.

Well at least he’ll be able to remember that he attacked you this time.

That’s a first.
