They faced down death and it’s a goddamn miracle that no more were injured or killed. That kid was not bullied. He did not shoot those kids out of revenge. He chose them RANDOMLY and shot them for a fucking THRILL. There are plenty of kids who live difficult lives BUT THEY DON’T GO SHOOTING UP THEIR SCHOOLS. You wanna make him feel better? Tell that to the parents of the kids that died. Tell that to their friends and siblings. I fucking dare you. Those kids will hold the memories of that day for the rest of their lives. They’ll never forget that terror, and they’ll never get their friends back after that wasted human life decided it would be a good idea to kill someone. Do you know how old those boys were? Daniel was 16, Russel was 17, and Demetrius was 17. They were fucking KIDS. They barely had a chance to experience life yet. Now their parents won’t get to watch them grow up. Their friends and siblings won’t get to spend time with them ever again. Because that piece of shit killed them. I have family that goes to that school. She was there in that lunchroom when that kid started shooting. She saw it all happen. She saw her friends get shot. I don’t even know how close she was to being shot herself. She’s traumatized. I’m sure she was terrified she’d die that day. I was with her that night. I watched as she broke down into sobs when she got the text Russel died. Russel was her friend. She had already gone through a terrifying experience and now another one of her friends died. It was horrible watching her cry. It’s nothing short of a miracle that Joy and Nick are doing alright after they were shot. I cannot even imagine what they’re going through after that. I’m so thankful they’re okay. They’re just kids.
